Kenoli is proud to share that Elizabeth Benítez from El Salvador and Jesferson Espinoza from Nicaragua have been selected for the Youth Catalyst Program of the British Columbia Council for International Cooperation (BCCIC) — a highly competitive global initiative that recognizes young leaders who are driving change in their communities.
The Youth Catalyst Program is a six-month learning journey that connects a small group of young people from British Columbia, Canada, and the Global South. Together, they explore how to be catalysts for transformation — linking local and global priorities, reshaping narratives, and inspiring collective action to confront injustice and inequality around the world.
Among many outstanding applicants, Elizabeth and Jesferson stood out for their creativity, leadership, and deep commitment to social change.
✨Elizabeth Benítez, who works with the Santa Marta Association for Economic and Social Development (ADES) in Cabañas, El Salvador, impressed the selection committee with her imagination and her ability to use storytelling and art to inspire others. Her participation will bring powerful new perspectives that strengthen the global youth community and enrich the collective journey of the program.

🌱 Jesferson Espinoza, from the Organization for Economic and Social Development for the Urban and Rural Area (ODESAR) in Esquipulas, Nicaragua, was recognized for his tireless work with rural communities and his drive to build inclusive and empowering alternatives for sustainable development. His passion for learning, sharing knowledge, and fostering local engagement embodies the true spirit of the Youth Catalyst Program.

At Kenoli, we are especially proud to support these two emerging leaders as they take this important step in their personal and professional growth. Their vision and dedication reflect the values of collaboration, justice, and inclusion that guide our work every day.
