In San Salvador, on July 5, 2024, the Kenoli Foundation organized an event for partner exchanges. CESTA offered its facilities to share knowledge and experiences in the areas of Agroecology and Nutrition and Early Childhood Development.

Representatives from ADES, CDC, CESTA, CINCAHUITE, and MANGLE presented their best practices. Family gardens, small poultry farms, housing improvements, latrine construction, alternative irrigation methods, and work in early childhood development are incredible and yield results for families.

The welcome speeches were given by Vera Radyo, director of Kenoli, and Ricardo Navarro, director of CESTA. This was followed by presentations from each of the partners. FECORACEN and ACIDES/ACOMANZANA also attended to learn about the advanced work of the partners. Then, Kenoli’s Strategic Plan and the Best Practices Document in Early Childhood Development were presented by Magda Lanuza. This document was published in November 2023 and presented at the Matagalpa, Nicaragua event last year.

Lucia Alegria from CESTA presented the work they have done in the past three years in the area of early childhood development. She also took the opportunity to pay tribute to Omar Argueta from CDC, who has left a great legacy for work and commitment to the most deprived children in Central America. His work and teachings leave an indelible mark on the memory of the organizations.

The event concluded with words of thanks from Enrique González of Kenoli. The lunch prepared in CESTA’s kitchen wrapped up the event. Participants also exchanged seeds, fruits, vegetables, food, and educational materials. This activity only reinforces the commitment to the sustainable development of communities.
